Mark Barnes is a REALTOR® who strives to build life-long relationships through dedication and ethics in business transactions. Mark was born and raised in Indiana and has been a long-time student of real estate before he joined Daniel Ravenel Sotheby’s International Realty. Having personally bought and sold over 15 homes during his career, Mark understands the buying and selling process well, but more importantly the traits that make a great REALTOR®.
Mark moved to the Lowcountry after a career in the automotive industry where he worked globally in various executive positions including Chief Operating Officer for Bentley Motor Americas. During his career, Mark experienced relocations throughout the United States and China. He has a strong commitment to “be of service” to his clients throughout the sales and purchase processes and strives to keep strong relationships following closings.
In his leisure time, Mark is an accomplished musician and loves to play golf. He enjoys classic cars and watching college football – especially in the south! He and his wife Mary live in Mount Pleasant and adore spending time with their daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons. Mark was also an adjunct professor at Clemson University, where he taught Corporate Communications to upperclass students, teaching the importance of ethics in corporate and everyday life.
