A native Northeasterner, Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management at Penn State University before achieving his MBA at the University of Maryland. He launched his career in business and sales before zeroing in on consulting with a specialty in managing and implementing technology systems. Through diligent research and exceptional attention to detail, Jim strategically enhanced business processes for the likes of General Electric, JP Morgan, and CVS.

In 2012, Jim and his wife Lisa visited the Lowcountry and were immediately enchanted by the natural beauty, irresistible weather, and friendly people. Like many of his clients, they never wanted to leave! Jim and Lisa currently reside on Spring Island, where they feel fortunate to have frequent visits from their three daughters. Outside of work, Jim has a strong appreciation for architecture and design. He also enjoys daily reading, bike riding, a competitive game of tennis, or a trek around the golf course.
