Whether you reside here in Charleston, SC, have visited our historic streets and wonderful restaurants, or have simply packed us away in your “places to visit” mental vault, you probably know that the city of Charleston is absolutely booming. With accolades such as the #1 City in the World, granted to us by Condé Nast Traveler, the Holy City has seen an increase not only in visitors but in new residents as well, which means prices for homes are trending northward. As of August 2016, according to the US Census Bureau, the national average home price is $353,600. In Mt. Pleasant, one of the fastest growing suburbs in the country, the average sales price for a home was $602,310, not too far from double the national average.
