Kim Crain grew up in Florence, S.C. and graduated from Winthrop University in 1982. After school, she worked in the retail industry in management before becoming a Flight Attendant with Piedmont Airlines. She traveled extensively, both domestically and internationally, for 19 years with the company and developed a keen interest in different cultures, aesthetics, and the architecture of historic buildings. After her adventures as a flight attendant, Kim settled in South Florida with her husband and became co-owner of a luxury men’s clothing store in Delray Beach. Eventually, she and her husband decided to move back to South Carolina to be closer to their extended families.
With her unique set of skills, extensive travel, and business acumen, Kim naturally became interested in the Real Estate profession. Kim has remodeled and lived in a number of historic homes in the Charlotte, N.C. and Charleston areas. Her years of travel, experience in remodeling, and interior design skill-set bring much to the table for her clients. She is knowledgeable in all markets in and around Charleston, as well as luxury property on the Barrier Islands.
Building long lasting relationships with her buyers and sellers is what motivates Kim. Her primary focus is bringing a higher level of client service than most people ever expect from a real estate professional.
Whether buying, selling or investing, she guides and advises her clients in every detail of the transaction, and beyond the closing, regardless of the price of the property.
“My commitment to integrity and protecting my clients’ interests and needs is the most important aspect of my career in real estate.”
Kim lives by these words. Her attention to her clients, as well as her sophistication and experience with luxury consumers makes her a natural fit with Daniel Ravenel’s team of expert real estate advisors.
Kim has been involved in the community throughout her life. Some of the organizations she has served include McLeod Health Hospice, the first board of SNIP (Spay Neuter Intervention of the Greater Pee Dee), RAIN (Regional Aids Interfaith Network in Charlotte NC) and MUSC Children’s cardiology department.
Kim enjoys many outdoor activities, bikram yoga, traveling, and advocating for animal & child welfare. She lives in West Ashley with her husband Mike, her rescue dog, Watson, and two rescued cats, Hugo and Matilda.
