Edisto Island is one of the many lovely barrier islands south of Charleston. The island and its residences remain untouched by the modernity of some of the newer developments in the area, and the pristine wildlife and strong local culture are evidence of this fact. Innumerable family activities are available on the island year round, including boat charters, fishing, golfing, bird watching, and other outdoor recreational activities.
