Charleston (Above Crosstown)
Anchored around the main corridors that lead north from the historic lower peninsula, the boroughs on the upper peninsula are thriving as Charleston becomes more popular. Throughout the upper peninsula, you will find various established early and mid century neighborhoods like Hampton Park and Wagner Terrace. In recent years the growth is palpable with a new mix of mid-rise apartment and condominium buildings among the existing patchwork of older industrial and commercial buildings. Upper Meeting and King Streets as well as the area north of Morrison Street, known as NOMO are full of some of Charleston's best shops and restaurants, often frequented by residents "in the know."
