Johns Island

Johns Island

One of the largest islands along the east coast of the United States, Johns Island encompasses a whopping 84 square miles in area, providing scenic stomping grounds for a population of more than 20,000 people. Its verdant landscape is enclosed by meandering rivers, and the South Carolina Highway 700 snakes through the center of town. Most Johns Island real estate tends to be clustered in neighborhoods near the center of town, though there are many options near the southwestern end of town as well.

The town's biggest claim to fame is none other than the legendary Angel Oak Tree, more than 60 feet tall with a massive canopy and sprawling, arm-like trunks. The Mullet Hall Equestrian Center is another major area draw. It hosts equestrian competitions and boasts 20 miles of trails.

A search for homes for sale in Johns Island will reveal a unique selection of townhomes, condos, older homes, and new constructions. Though price points and sizes range drastically, stunning natural surroundings are a given.
